About Department
Rasashastra and Bhaishajyakalpana is one of most important branch of Ayurveda. It basically deals with preparations of Ayurvedic medicine using mercury, various metals, minerals and also various herbs. This subject is part of 2nd year BAMS course.
The department has well equipped laboratories with advanced instrumentation, specimens, models, charts etc. All essential practical are carried out in the UG laboratories as per MUHS syllabus. There is also an in-house pharmacy. The department is fully equipped with various instruments. It has very good collection of charts, specimens and models for the conduction of practical session for the students. We have one muffle furnace for the preparation of Kalpa. We have conducted department seminar in the college and manufacturing medicine for the college hospital.
